Sorry guys, I am here, kinda. So I will start with the present and work back as far as I can. Park had swine flu (yuck) and then an upper respiratory infection. So 5 days of school he has missed. I got is work yesterday and we are almost caught up. He goes back tomorrow. My beloved niece has gone to EGYPT for 3 weeks, she is in the airforce and volunteered for this little trip. I am so nervous for her but excited at the same time. We took Park to the Pharaohs exhibit about two weeks ago and he loved it. Miranda promised to take lots of pictures for him. Miranda's little girl Addi is turning 1 in November. I am so excited, my great niece is beautiful. I am loving my job, newest team member is Kimberly, she is funny and abit of a smarty pants. I love it. I have joined a gym, been several times, thank you Jo. I have not lost any weight, but I do feel so much better. My other bf Nick has been leading a women's bible study, and she is doing an awesome job. Other than that, not a lot (recently). Park has lost a couple more teeth, he is doing good in school. My niece is about to turn 8, she gets to go see Miley Cyrus next week. She is very excited. Okay so I am sortof caught up. :)

IT'S A FIRST

Okay the past few weeks, crazy as in muy loco !!!!!! Jerry is in his own Edward Jones Office, I am not sure it is what we expected (the circumstances around the move are no perfect) however I am counting this as a huge blessing. For those who may not know we have been working together for the last year. I am really amazed who much better we are getting along now that there is a little space between us, THANK YOU LORD!!!!!!!! We are hiring a new person in our front office and I am really excited. I have talked to her a couple of times and I think this will be a good match. Jerry and I went to STL for a business meeting and hung out for a few days. It was nice to just lay by the pool and relax. So now for the big news ( no,Nic no kiddos) Parker left today to go to Georgia for 2 WEEKS. Jerry and I have some friends that we have known for 15 years and they came down for a baby shower. They are coming back for the 4th of July and their daughters wanted Park to go back with them and he really REALLY wanted to go........it took about 2 hours for me to say okay. I love Sonja and Melissa (they are sisters) and trust them with my life, but my child has never been away from me for 2 weeks. Jerry and I have been on a few cruises, however he was with my mom. So I am really nervous but I know he is going to have such a great time. Let me see that is really all that is going on ....except I finally joined face book, I have caved. I figure the next 2 weeks I will have all kinds of time to play on the computer :)

I think my attitude of gratitude could use some work, but I know there has been some improvement. Jerry and I have had some difficult times, but I have always known God would bring us through. I have great friend and wonderful family, I am truly blessed

I know it has been a while so here is the latest. Jerry now has taken over an existing Edward Jones office (still in Conway). So the up side is he is out of my office, he has new clients to help and did I mention he is out of my office? However, it was not under the circumstance we had expected, but little about this career change for him has gone to plan. I know God has a plan for us so I try not to worry to much. At the same time we are hiring a new assistant for my office and that is a little scary in itself. There is me, my full time boss, part time boss and the one new person , so I am hopeful we will find someone who fits in well. Stressed? yes but it feels like a whole new beginning so I am also hopeful.
I am still on the diet, down 12 pounds yeah !!!!! I am working out, I know I did not put on the weight in one week but I sure wish I could take it off in one. The hardest is going out with friends and not eating what ever. I have gotten better. Tonight we had a potluck at the church and I took my slimfast shake and peach to the church to eat.

Okay to all the mom's out the HAPPY MOTHERS DAY!!!!!!!! I have to say it is the best job ever. Jerry and Park bought me an edible arrangement. It was wonderful. So my diet is not going so well. I want to be motivated, but I am not. For those of you who may not know I have had some issues with work. They are starting to get worked out but I kinda feel like life is on hold until they are resolved. However, I know I can not wait. So I am going to start fresh on Monday, say a prayer for me, I need it. Other than that life is okay, it seems I have had a run of not so great luck lately, but I know eventually it will get better :)

Where does time go?

Okay so here is the short version of life the last few weeks, we (me, mom, dad, park and J) went to Michigan for my oldest cousins wedding. We had a blast, it was so good to see my aunt and uncle and the crew. Parker had a great time, the hotel had an indoor pool (however it was not heated so I did NOT get in). I will post some pics tonight. The wedding was beautiful and the reception was great. Easter was a blast this year, even though it rained we hunted eggs in the house and played the WII all day. I was kinda sore the next day. Lots of fun, Parker did not want to play any games against his dad, he would just put the controller down and say that's okay.
Work is taking a turn for the better, Jerry will be here one more year, but I must believe that this is what is best for him and we can work together without killing each other. Yeah so that is our life, we are soooooo boring, but I guess boring is good. Will post the pics tonight. Oh yeah at the bottom of the blog is my twitter.......dang you Nic you are to blame.....we will see how well I do on twitter cause we all know how great I am at blogging HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

Okay I know its been awhile, so here goes. Jerry has found out that he will be in my office for the next year. Lord help me. I thought to myself this past year has not been so bad, but truthfully I was ready for him to go. I love my husband, but man we spend a lot of time together. Parker got to participate in the Craw Drag and Squirt race at school, he did not win but he had a bast. We also found out that Parker will be going to camp this summer, he is going to Camp Aldersgate for a whole week . I am excited and a bit nervous. Okay one cute Parker story and I am off to clean my house. Tuesday we had our "grow meeting " at church, so I volunteered to watch the kiddos. Parker and Taylor were playing and Taylor yelled to Park I see your underwear, Park pulled up his pants and yelled I've lost my dignity*******where does he come up with this?

Okay sorry it took so long, but I have all my test results back and everything is good!!!!:) My thyroid is normal ( I actually have no thyroid but my medicine is working), notice I say my thyroid and not me!!! This has been such a load lifted. Oh went to the dentist and no cavities!!!! I love it, okay so other than that no much else, we are hanging in there.

Okay so for those of you who may not know, I do not have a Thyroid, this is a gland in your neck that produces hormones that control your metabolism, emotions and other things. It was removed when I was sixteen, because it went from overactive to under active. I have been on medication ever since. Oh by the by, I am horrible at remembering to take the meds. Anywho, I decided this year I am going to take better care of myself, and went to have my thyroid function checked. The Dr said my thyroid is enlarged and I get to have an ultra sound done on Wednesday. I always knew there was a chance my thyroid could grow back, so it is that, or a goiter or some weird growth. It probably is nothing, but I am so not a "glass half full" kinda girl. I have been dealing with the thyroid thing for so long, sometime I do not take it as serious as I should. I am trying really hard to do better. I will post again after I get my test results back. :)

I turned 33 on Thursday. On Wednesday my mother in law called to let us know she was in Conway so she was going to drop off my gift. So Jerry mentioned we should go out to eat. Jerry Park and I went to eat @ Chili's. We get home and Jerry's mom comes out and we do gifts. I get a really awesome photo scanner from her and a digital photo frame from Jerry and Park. I was so excited I had tears coming out of my eyes. I thought okay that was my birthday. I started to make plans to go visit my bff Jodi on Thursday. Jerry walks in and is like what are you doing? Apparently Jerry had planned a surprise birthday dinner for me. In 12 years not once has he done a surprise party. I felt so bad. SO we went out to eat with Nic, Martha, Dennis, Grayson, Andy and Polly for my "suprise birthday dinner". We had such a great time. I do love my friends. How blessed am I, to be able to follow up one of the best Christmas' ever with one of the best birthday's ever. I already have loaded my picture frame up with a ton of pictures. 33 is great :)

Yes I am still alive, I think. Where to start, Christmas was great. We cut back a lot this year, but it was wonderful..I think through Parker and I are going to have to have the talk about "Santa". Let me explain, Martha and I went shopping back in September and found all these great deals on toys, so I thought I was done. Three weeks before Christmas Parker asked for a Nintendo DS. I gave it a lot of thought and decided not this year. So I explained that the DS was very expensive and he could get one for his birthday. Park comes back with, " you know mom we have not been to see Santa yet, so if you will just take me to see him, he could bring it and you would know have to pay for it." How do you argue with that? Christmas came and went and no DS, but Parker was not disappointed. It really was one of the best Christmas' we had had in a long time. SO we move on to New Years, we are so old (FYI I will be 33 in 4 days). We stayed home, Jerry was asleep by 10:00 and Parker made it until literally 11:50, at 12 I woke him up and we had a glass of sparkling grape juice. That was that. Old I tell ya. I have found a new hobby. For Christmas I made my niece some photo albums. I can NOT scrap book, but I have found at Hobby Lobby they have books ready to go, now that is what I am talking about. All I had to do was as pictures and stickers. I did 3 yes 3 book in less than 4 days. On a more serious note, I really feel like my job as become all consuming. I kinda feel like it is running my life right now. So in the new year, I am hoping to take at least some of that contol back. I want to start doing more things I enjoy. The ready made scrap books are one. Time (real time) with my family ( all of my family) . Blogging, yes I will try to do this more than once a month. Well guys that is an update on me. Love ya

Okay so I got back last Friday from VA. We drove to Virginia Beach, my niece Miranda had a baby. Addi is beautiful, (no NIC no baby for me) and we had a great time. Uncle Scott (now also know as Gram pa) took us to the USS battleship Wisconsin. There was so much to do it was amazing. We went to the beach on Thanksgiving day and saw dolphins, how cool is that.
Parker starting asking me for a Nintendo DS for Christmas, well "Santa" finished Park's shopping about a month ago, so I told him maybe for his birthday. Park told me that he could ask Santa and that way I would not have to pay for it. What a smart boy. I am so glad to be home. Jerry said he was so lonely while his family was gone. I feel loved!!!

Hey guys! sorry it has been so long, but unless you are not watching a tv, listening to the radio and reading a paper, you know the stock market has gone crazy. So needless to say Jerry and I have both been putting in long hours and then spending time with each other, Park and our family and friends when we can. I can not tell a lie I am so tired :( I just feel like I have been hit by a truck. I know things will get better, and we are truly blessed as Jerry is doing really well in his job, and while my boss is stressed, he and I work really well together. I just feel so bad for everyone, it is a scary time and to no one's surprise (well no one who knows me anyway) I just want to fix it. Which brings me to my title above, Saturday night Live was on Thursday night and they had a guy as a "financial expert" and Seth Meyers asked what should be done to help the crisis the expert's advise on the economy and the stock market was to "FIX IT.. (when asked how to fix it he started yellin)IDENTIFY THE FIRST PROBLEM AND FIX IT, THEN IDENTIFY THE NEXT PROBLEM AND FIX IT....FIX IT FIX IT FIX IT!!!!!" I laughed so hard I cried. So here is some catch up info, Jerry and I had our 10 year anniversary, he sent me an edible arrangement. It was beautiful and tasty!!! Parker told me he loved me today, so I told him I love you more and he said I love you 100, so I told him I love him to infinity, he came back with infinity plus 1. He is so smart. Then he told me infinity is like eternity, that when we go to heaven we never die and it never ends. I am so grateful he thinks about things like that:) My niece Chloe, who is in the first grade, made all A's . My sister Karla has taken to calling her Fawn JR. I was known for my good grades (until college). UMMM oh here is a shout out to my two best friends Nic and JO Happy birthday to both of you!!!!(Sorry Nic I know a day late and a dollar short). Where to start, Parker has gotten sick again. Last Thursday (while Jerry was out of town) Park got sick at school. So Thursday, Friday and Saturday Park had a stomach viras, and like a good son gave it to me Sunday. This past Saturday he got sick again. He was home with Jerry today. Jerry ran by the office and Park lost his tooth while he was there. He told me he thought the tooth was worth $5. We will see.

So tonight Park and I were talking about our trip to Virginia. As I have mentioned my niece Miranda is having a baby and Park and I are are going to visit the week of Thanksgiving. Pam my sister in law sent pictures of the house we are staying in. Park asked if we were taking clothes and food? I said yes we are taking clothes, but we would buy food in Virginia. He said make sure and buy apple sauce, why I asked. He said baby's don't have teeth momma what will she eat? The kid is quick. We had to go and talk to the preacher tonight. Parker asked him to pray for him, Park has had some issues with keeping his mouth closed during class, now who does that remind you of? ***jerry** oops my fingers slipped. Yep Parker is definitely Jerry Borden JR.

I got a phone call Thursday at 8:45 saying Park had thrown up. So I go and get him and he is sick for 3 days. And then like a good son he gave it to me. I have not eaten solid food since Sunday! AHHHHHH. What else has been going on, Parker is doing okay in school, he does have a had time keeping his mouth closed, but he loves to read and is doing well in math. My baby is growing up!

Hey everyone, we are still alive, just barely. We are in the middle of VBS, we have had 57-80 kids every night, I am not complaining, just suprised. Polly and I are doing snacks, I tell ya Wal-Mart is like my second home. Any who, today Gary a decon from our church came by my office and said I just have to tell you what Parker said. My heart just stopped. I could not imagine what had come out of his mouth. Apparently, Parker had some plastic bugs lined up on the door to his class room. Gary said, Parker what are you doing and he said "well in the jurissac period this dragon fly would have been the size of a hawk." Gary said when did you learn about the jurassic period, Park said "I watch the history channel". I cracked up laughing. My kid is so going to be a nerd, but I love it.
This weekend we were playing checkers, and Parker kept saying "I'm comming for you mom, and when I would jump him he was like "mom I did not ecen see that comming!! You are so cruel".

Last cute Parker story, Mrs Sue who is leading our VBS said Parker has come up and asked questions about the story every night. She also said that he has started relating the stories they are telling in VBS to AWANA. He told Mrs Sue, "yeah I don't want to be a sinner, I want to be a christian. " I am so excited. I can not believe he is going into the first grade. I am so grateful for our church family!! I love you guys!!!!!!!!

Well the Borden Family is still alive. Since Park's birthday I have been out of town twice. The first time Jerry and I went to Branson. Jerry had his first summer regional meeting for work. Park stayed with my sister Andi. I met a lot of the other broker's wives and really enjoyed getting to know them. It was easier to talk without Park, but we have promised him he gets to go to the next meeting in St Louis. While we were there J and I went to Silver Dollar City. It was so much fun. Jerry rode rollercoasters and I rode all the water rides. Next week we had some dear old friends in from Wisconsin for the 4th of July. They spent 7 days with us. I was here for most of the visit, but my best friend Jo and I ran off for a few days of r and r. Between the out of town travel and work I am so wiped out. Most of you know I work for a financial advisor and right now work is crazy. I know things will return to normal eventually. The sooner the better. Tonight we took Park to the Japanses Steak House, he loved it. He got to flip the egg into the cooks hat. He was dancing at the table as our chef was singing. Parker said we could definatley eat there again.

Parker's Birthday Party

Let me start by saying I have been freaking out about this party since Wednesday. This year we had swimming party, and Wednesday I looked at the weather and there was a 40% of rain. Normally I am a "always have a plan B" kinda girl. This year not so much. So I started praying ...alot. Thursday I went to get my niece Chloe. Friday we went to get birthday pics made and to see Kung Fu Panda. Of course it pours down rain Friday night, but Saturday rolls around and the weather is beautiful. Thank the Lord. Parker and several of his friends had a great time swimming tonight. Here are a few of the highlights, my 2 year old nephew thought it would be fun to go down the water slide. He climbed right up with no hesitation, Jerry was right behind him, and when it came time to slide he would not let go of the side, Jerry said the only way down was the slide so he let go and Jerry pushed him. My dad caught him at the bottom. He may be emotional scarred for life. He kept going over to the slide, but would not go down again. Jerry best friend Todd and his wife Mindy came tonight. Mindy wore her swim suit, so I jokingly asked when she was going to get in. She said when I go down the slide she would. SO I said let's go. The look on her face was priceless. SO we went down the slide. I got to the top of the slide and thought "What am I doing?" I did it and it was so worth it. Mindy is a good sport! Parker had a great birthday, what more could a mom ask for?

This month is flying by. Last Saturday we went to float the buffaloe with couples from our church. Jerry and I had never been. Yes we grew up in Arkansas. Park went with us and had a blast. I have deceided we can do that about once a year, that is all the fun I can handle. Parker turned six on Wednesday. All day long all I could thing about was the day he was born. My baby really is growing up. Lord willing we are having his swimming party Saturday night. Pray for no rain.

Parker had his last day of kindergarden on Friday. I am a little sad. I can not believe it is over. Conway is still in school Monday and Tuesday, but Park is going to Super Kids at UCA this next week. Park has had quite a year. Lots of ups and downs, but he made it. I am so excited for him. In 11 days he will be 6, when did that happen?

This was our first child free weekend in I don't know how long. It was peaceful around our house. Jerry and I were invited over Friday to a friends house to play Texas Hold em (for bragging rights of course). Well I have never played, other than on the computer. However I came in second place. I was pretty proud of myself. Saturday we went to a wedding shower, our friends Sheila and Joel got married. I felt so old, we had know most of the people there for at least 10 years. I am always glad though when Park cames home, I love that crazy kid.

I have to say Mother's day was really nice this year. Kinda of relaxed. We had lunch at my mom's and I came home and chilled. It was great. Parker has started sparing at Tae kwon do. He won his first three matches ( all against older kids!). I was afraid he would be afraid but he did really well. I love that kid.

TOAD SUCK DAZE

So this was toad suck daze weekend. Park and I went Friday and had dinner. Who can pass up something fried on a stick. I picked up my niece Chloe Friday night so she could go to Toad Suck on Saturday. I must say I was quit impressed with Park and Chloe, they did not fight at all. Saturday we met some friends and the kids rode some rides and we had lunch. Why corndogs and nachos taste better from a booth I don't know? We had a great time.

Okay so this weekend our youth group did the 30 hour famine. I was partly responsible for planning. We did some Turkey Bowling it was so much fun. You take ten 2 litters and a frozen turkey. The youth and adults loved it. We collected food for a local food bank, raised some money for World Vision and had a good time. We had some really good friends from Tulsa drive in, it was so good to see Kristian and Dustin. This time the famine was a little harder for me, between 10 hour days at work, planning for the famine and a little angel named Park I was wiped out. Monday I stayed home from work and slept for hours. Jerry is doing well in his new job. It seems to fit him. I am holding on to my sanity (just barely). I am so ready for a break. Well that'd therapy for today.

Parker had to learn a hard one today. He has not had one good day at school this week and today was our AWANA fair (games, candy exc.). So Jerry and I decided he could not participate. He cried and cried it is not fair mommy. I felt so bad, like I was the worst mom ever. But how do you justify letting a kid go and play at the fair when his behavior is NOT GOOD At ALL ? I had some work to do in the church office ( I am getting ready for the 30 hour famine, not eating for 30 hours i know sounds like alot fun) and Park sat with me while I worked. Pastor Gary is so great he came in while we were there and I told him why Park was sad, and he prayed with him, and Parker felt better after he left. God bless our pastor. BEING MOM

I just have to say I love being mom. My kid is so great. He comes up to me and is like "So mom, do you remember back in the day?" and I was like you are 5 years old a bit young for the phrase back in the day. I start to think back to when he was a baby, and feel almost sad (no Nic I do not want another one). I just can not believe it has been almost 6 years. I just love being Park's mom, I am so blessed.

WRESTLE MANIA

Parker and my nephew Stephen wrestled for 2 and 1/2 hours. Stephen would hit him and Parker would come running back for more. At one time Parker took his shirt off and said "welcome to the gun show!!" I bet he sleeps good tonight!!

So today Park and I were talking in the car and I said "what are you thinking about." He said "money". I said "what about money?" he said "I really like money and need some." The inevitable question "why do you need money?" he said "to buy a drink at tae won do." So here is my opportunity to teach my son about responsibility. I tell him if he will keep his play room clean, I will give him a dollar every day to buy a coke. He says "uhh no, I was thinking of having a lemonade stand". I said "okay, who is going pay for the lemonade." "mom, you just make it." so I explain that you still have to buy the mix. Parker makes a face and goes well you buy it for me and I will sell it for a nickel a glass. No clean room and I buy the lemonade, how does that work?

Many of you know that Jerry has started a new job as a financial advisor. Today he got his first sell. I am so proud of him!!!!!!!! Next to Parker, this has been the biggest step we have taken in the last 10 years. YEAH JERRY!!!!!!

Jerry and I try to come up with games we can play with Park in the car that are fun and help him learn. We started playing "can you spell" and then we come up words he has had at school. Today we were playing and Jerry started using harder words. When he used one Parker could not spell ,Park said, "you know dad it's not like you are paying me to do this, wait, could you start paying me to do this?" I laughed so hard I almost cried. So on to other news, my neice is 20 and is expecting. I am way TO YOUNG to be a great-aunt. I feel so old.

April fool's day

Parker ask me what month it is at 7:00AM this morning. So I tell him April and he figures out it's April Fools Day. He starts yelling he is the king of all Pranksters. I start having flashes of his teacher calling me to tell me of some joke he played on her. So I tell him if he goes all day with out pranking ( what a 5 year old considered a prank I don't know, nor do I care to find out!!) We will play a joke on his dad tonight. He goes all daybeing good, so we bought the crazy teeth and a whoopie cushion. Parker put in the teeth in and said "dad do I have something in my teeth?" It was pretty funny. Jerry and Parker played with the whoopie cushion all night. Gotta love those boys.
